A storm has been lurking overhead and the rains of discontent, self-loathing, and helplessness are now coming down in full force. After a five-year hiatus, Lexincrypt returns with its new album "Of Unsound Mind," its most mature, dark, and anguished material to date. The philosophy of Lexincrypt has always centered on maintaining a balance of aggression and depression; that balance, however, has been lost as the latter has inevitably consumed the former. With a disconsolate focus on personal shortcomings, ineptitude, instability, and the absence of the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, "Of Unsound Mind" touches on the many angles of just that -- a mind with a penchant for self-destruction, exhausted by days dark and darker.
The turmoil and experiences that paved the way for this release were not only emotionally difficult but also exceptionally draining in every respect, conjuring otherwise dormant personal demons as well as dealing with the ones that never went away. Because of this, KarlozM (Manufactura), Ash (Filament 38), and Xiescive have lent their remarkable talents to reinstate the momentum in this endeavor -- an endeavor that may have otherwise remained forever stagnant. Lexincrypt also finds a new home with Crunch Pod to bring you its most self-defining album to date.

Several months after the release of Process of Elimination, the critically acclaimed sophomore full length by Cervello Elettronico, comes a collection of experimental tracks titled "aural". Six new songs inspired by speculation of space and structure are complemented with lush ambient textures and sometimes harsh dissonance. While Cervello Elettronico is no stranger to sample based music, "Aural" includes "Blood Sells" the project's first composition made solely of cinematic audio samples bringing a new modern meaning to "found art".
This new EP foreshadows a departure from Cervello Elettronico's previous signature raw sound to a more mature matriculate destination.

With a pulse, like your thudding heart as they engage the drill, comes the first new release from Polluted Axis since "A Day In The Life Of..." "The Trephining Manual".
With only grinding reminders of his power noise roots present, this single from the upcoming "Trepanation Nation" Album, expands on the cyberpunk sound that we have enjoyed from all their recent remixes. Bringing powerful and moving remixes from The Ludovico Technique, Mangadrive, and Lexincrypt you need this single far more than that new hole in your head.
So turn off the trephine drill and stuff the music in your earholes instead.

Purge.The.Sky, the latest chapter in the Mangadrive saga, spirals into the atmosphere and beyond with hyper-paced Techno beats, over-distorted synth lines and the occasional ambush lurking the shadows.
Stepping in with a ferocious bite, this album is tightly packed with over an hour of red lined energy and refuses to idle itself for very long. Appearances by James Church (Lucidstatic), Brad Vaccine (Torrent Vaccine) and the hard dance duo Studio-X allow the dynamic attitude of the project to be displayed.
Breaking genres, crossing lines and keeping the gas to the floor are just a few of the playlist's intentions that are addressed to the listener who is thrust onto a trip through a future where machines dominate both music and man.

Influential, controversial, admired and despised. The Madness known as Manufactura returns with the brand new album, "As They Drown In Their Lies".
The 2006 Polluted Axis release of "A Day In The Life Of..." beats you over the brain with the Noise Bat that only Luxotek and guest artist Josh Franklin (aka Rev Dj Razorslave of Death By Corrosion) can swing.
Polluted Axis drags you thru a typical day of Gritty, Hard Hitting Beats and Tire Fires in true fuck all style, Assaulting your senses and sensibilities (and friends, relatives, and several small woodland creatures*) with the pushes of their magic noise buttons.
Hailed as "The absolute best Polluted Axis released this month" by Jason Hollis of Endif and 4 out of 5 dentists**, this release is sure to make you want to plan a swath of destruction and chaos thru your own suburban neighborhood.
"A Day In The Life Of..." has recently been remastered by Daq, who has picked apart the original audio and made them as painful as possible to the human ear.
**No dentists were seriously injured in the making of this album.

As They Drown In Their Lies
Influential, controversial, admired and despised. The Madness known as Manufactura returns with the brand new album, "As They Drown In Their Lies".
Once again blending everything from rythmhic noise to electro, dubstep, techno, trance and IDM. For this new work Manufactura has brought along a few friends for the production, for the damage and for the mayhem, including Lexincrypt, Iszoloscope, Electronic Substance Abuse (ESA) and Lucidstatic.
This particular body of work is being dedicated to all Poets, Writers, Artists & Musicians. It includes 4 tracks specifically reinterpreting the poems and songs of Charles Bukowski, Leonard Cohen, Jim Carroll & Lou Reed. Sinister, dark, twisted and filled with a distinctive malevolance that may cause this album to be considered one of Manufactura's heaviest and strongest releases to date.

Polluted Axis, one of the new signings to Crunch Pod, has decided to reissue one of their long out of print early releases as a digital exclusive. "Plastic Christ" was originally released by Polluted Axis in 2001 on a limited run of CDRs sold directly by the band.
Upon signing with Crunch Pod for a new album in 2010, P.A. member Luxotek decided that "Plastic Christ" should be reissued first as an introduction to what the project has done in the past.
Luxotek describes the concept behind "Plastic Christ" as: "directly and completely inspired by the original release of THX1138 and the idea of such a perfect dissidence in what is maintained as a perfect and
utopian fascist society...
The names of the songs and the one sample used is the "religious" mantra played back from a pre-recorded priest shown as anglo-sized poster of Jesus Christ in every glass confession booth, which inspired the title of the album. The cover, like most PA albums, is unrelated and is a vulgar snippet into the ruination of our world."
Sonically, the album can best be described as early '00 era style rhythmic noise - a style made popular by such acts as Winterkälte, Converter and KiEW.

CRUNCH 072 The Ludovico Technique
The Ludovico Technique EP
The name itself stems from the drug-assisted aversion therapy found in the novel and film "A Clockwork Orange", in which the patient is forced to view violent imagery while injected with experimental medication in an attempt to condition the subject?s behavior.
The Ludovico Technique as a band takes this concept and transforms it into music. The lyrical content draws from personal experience and observation. You will hear nothing which has not been translated from feeling to sound. It is harsh industrial music highlighting the dark aspects of the human experience as well as the depths to which the human mind can deteriorate.
This is The Ludovico Technique.
